STRENGTHENING FAMILIES

Urban League of Kansas (ULK) provides a Family Resource Center that offers concrete support and services for families, including social connections, education on the development of parental resilience, parenting,
child development and strengthening the social and emotional skills of children.

Purpose

The Family Resource Center provides a nurturing environment where families receive support, services, and resources aimed at enhancing social connections, educating parents on building resilience, fostering effective parenting, promoting child development, and enhancing the social and emotional skills of children. 

We Will

 

Foster health development and wellbeing of children, youth and families, increase school readiness, and engage with fathers and other male caregivers.

Monthly Meetings

  • Parent Advisory Council - First* Monday of every month. 6pm-7pm. Zoom options are available. Contact the Family Resource Specialist if you are interested in attending.

                  *If our office is closed for holiday, the meeting is moved to the following Tuesday.

  • Peer to Peer Support for Parents/Guardians - Second Wednesday of every month. 6pm-7pm. Contact the Family Resource Specialist if you are interested in attending.
